Is Dickson Avenue outdoor furniture suitable for year round use?

Absolutely. Our furniture is designed to withstand constant exposure to weather. Sydney’s changeable climate brings strong UV rays, days of humid subtropical rainstorms and rapid changes in temperature – our outdoor furniture is highly durable and resistant to even the most extreme conditions.

Will this furniture fade if left outdoors continually?

All of our woven outdoor furniture is tested for light resistance during production and our tight quality control is backed by a 3-year warranty.

Is this furniture environmentally safe?

The durable weave of our luxury outdoor furniture is made of polyethylene, which is one of the most environmentally friendly materials – it can be recycled many times over and takes little energy to manufacture.

Is this product resistant to water damage?

We pride ourselves on selling only the most durable products, made to withstand our local climate and lifestyle. All woven outdoor furniture is salt resistant and perfectly safe to be used on the beach and near the pool.

What payment methods do you accept?

You can feel free to complete your furniture order with cash, cheque, direct deposit, Visa or MasterCard.

What is the lead-time of delivery of furniture that is in stock?

Any furniture that is in stock can be delivered as soon as possible and at an agreed time that is convenient for you. Our friendly staff is available to complete deliveries during business hours Monday – Friday.

What is the lead-time for delivery of custom ordered & back ordered furniture?

Custom items and back ordered furniture will be ordered from the factory and is expected to arrive in 8-16 weeks. Please be ensured that we endeavour to deliver all orders as quickly as possible, our staff will keep you updated on the status of your furniture and organise a delivery time that best suits you.

Delivery & Handling

How long will delivery take?

All furniture that is in stock can be dispatched within 5-10 working days to locations throughout metro Sydney. One of our staff will be in contact to arrange delivery at a time convenient for you.

How much do you charge for delivery?

Our delivery charge is based on location, we are happy to provide you with a quote according to your address.

Also, the standard delivery fee assumes reasonable access to the address. Should excessive time be required due to limited access to the property or removing existing furniture, there will be an additional charge payable upon delivery.

Can I pick up goods from your warehouse?

Absolutely, we are happy to help coordinate with your own transportation arrangements and will have your furniture packed and ready to be safely transferred.

Does your furniture need to be assembled?

Most of our furniture is pre-assembled, however larger items occasionally require minor assembly.

Our staff will completely install every piece of furniture as a part of our comprehensive delivery service.

Can you deliver outside Sydney metro area?

Yes, we are happy to arrange removalists or couriers depending upon the delivery address. Please direct any questions to our staff and we will find the correct solution for your order.

Do I need to be home to take delivery?

Although it is preferred that your furniture order be delivered when you are home to receive it, prior arrangements can be made to leave orders in a secure location.

Can I pay for my order upon delivery?

Sorry, it is our policy that all indoor and outdoor furniture and accessory orders must be paid in full prior to dispatch

Teak Furniture

How long will it take for my teak furniture to develop the soft grey patina?

A patina will develop on teak furniture in 6-12 months in most weather conditions.

How do I restore my teak furniture to its original colour?

If the natural silvery grey patina of teak is not the look you desire, simply wash the furniture with warm soapy water, using a soft scrub brush.

Remove all soil marks and rinse thoroughly. When furniture is completely dry, sand lightly and remove any remaining dust. Apply up to three coats of a good quality timber dressing to ensure adequate coverage.

How do I remove food/wine stains?

We recommend the use of methylated spirits to remove any stains to your teak furniture. Once the stain itself has been eliminated, wash the area with warm soapy water.

Should I worry about fine surface cracks?

Fine surface cracks are a natural feature of even the highest-grade teak wood furniture and you needn’t worry.

Woven Furniture

What kind of loom do you use for your woven furniture?

Our outdoor furniture is woven of the highest quality synthetic loom available. The synthetic wicker is made with state of the art German technology and is non-toxic, recyclable and extremely durable – meaning it won’t shrink, stretch or crack.

Will Dickson Avenue outdoor furniture fade if left out continuously?

All of our woven outdoor furniture is engineered for use in the open air and is tested for light resistance during production. Our tight quality control process is backed by a 3-year warranty against any fading.No, the synthetic loom will not fade. It is engineered for outdoor use.

Does Dickson Avenue outdoor furniture require special cleaning?

Although no special maintenance is required for any of our furniture, if your furniture has become dusty or should a spill occur, simply wipe your outdoor furniture clean with a wet cloth and a mild soap.

Warranty, Repairs, Returns and Cancellations

Is a warranty offered on Dickson Avenue products?

All of Dickson Avenue’s woven outdoor and teak furniture is covered by a three-year warranty against defects or faulty materials. This warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, neglect or abuse of furniture items.

Are you able to repair my damaged Dickson Avenue furniture?

All of our furniture products undergo extensive design and pre-sale quality control testing. If any damage should occur to your furniture, please be in contact! We are happy to help and in many cases can repair your furniture within our Sydney warehouse.

Can I cancel my order?

If you should choose to cancel a custom furniture order or backordered product, your 10% deposit will be forfeited to cover our administrative and storage costs.
